As we say farewell to March and welcome the longer, brighter days of spring, I want to take a moment to reflect on our journey and the incredible opportunities ahead. This month, in honor of Women’s History Month, I was deeply inspired by the legacy of Dr. Maria Montessori. Over 150 years ago, she saw potential where others saw obstacles, transforming lives and reshaping the future of education. Her story is a testament to the power of vision, resilience, and innovation—values that continue to shape CGRC and our unwavering commitment to the children and families we serve.
Thank You, Gerry—Your Legacy Lives On
March has been a month of progress and transition. We welcomed new leadership in marketing, laying the foundation for an exciting evolution of our brand and digital presence. We launched the Sticks Up for CGRC fundraiser, fueling our ability to expand services and reach more families in need. And, with gratitude, we said goodbye to Gerry Gonzales, whose 33 years of service have left an indelible mark on CGRC. Gerry, as you step into this new chapter of rest and freedom, know that your impact will be felt for years to come.
A Future Built on Accountability, Clarity, and Commitment
I’ve spent the past month in deep conversations—meeting one-on-one with 90% of our Board of Directors, working alongside our leadership team, and engaging in department meetings, all to ensure alignment, transparency, and a shared vision for our future. We have finalized critical cost-saving measures, launched a financial performance review, and are taking bold steps to stabilize and strengthen our organization.
I won’t sugarcoat the challenges ahead. The past few months have felt like a roller coaster, revealing difficult realities. But leadership isn’t about avoiding difficulties—it’s about facing them with courage, clarity, and a steadfast commitment to our mission. I firmly believe we are standing at the edge of transformation. This is our moment to rebrand, revamp, and reaffirm CGRC’s place as a leader in behavioral health across Pennsylvania. Growth requires change, and change requires belief. And I believe in us.
The State of CGRC: A Future Filled with Hope
As we concluded the State of CGRC meetings, my greatest hope is that you walked away feeling informed, empowered, and inspired. Transparency will always be a priority for me—through the highs and the challenges, I will lead with humility, integrity, and honesty. I know that storms may still come, but I also know this: the sun will rise again. And when it does, we will rise with it—stronger, more unified, and ready to step boldly into the future.
CGRC is not just an organization; it is a movement of hope, healing, and empowerment. In my short time here, I have seen firsthand the strength, resilience, and dedication of this team. That is why I have no doubt that, together, we will not only stabilize—we will soar.
We are CGRC. We inspire hope. We empower others. And our best days are ahead.
