This workshop provides an overview of sexual development and addresses concerns that mental health clinicians may encounter when working with traumatized youth. The course will explore factors that influence sexual development including trauma. Participants will learn the importance of viewing clients’ sexuality as more than just their sexual activity

WHO SHOULD ATTEND This course is intended for Social Workers, Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, School-Based Clinicians, Graduate Students, and others supporting the mental health and well-being of children and youth. Eligible participants will be awarded 2 NBCC; PA SW/PC/MFT and/or ACT 48 Credits upon completion.

OUR PRESENTER, KELLY J. ACE, PHD, JD Kelly Ace holds a Master's degree in Psychology & Counseling, as well as a law degree and a Ph.D. in Human Sexuality. She is licensed as both a Professional Counselor and as an attorney. She is also credentialed through the National Board for Certified Counselors, the American Board of Forensic Counselors, and the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists.
