Peer Help in Recovery in an Effective New Dimension (P.H.R.I.E.N.D.)
Certified Peer Specialists offer one-on-one support that helps individuals feel seen, understood, and encouraged at a time when vulnerability is often at its highest. The P.H.R.I.E.N.D. Program provides shared humanity, empowerment, and a pathway toward a confident, self-directed future.
One-on-One Support to Reach Your Goals
The heart of P.H.R.I.E.N.D. is connection. Peer Specialists offer one-on-one support that helps individuals feel seen, understood, and encouraged at a time when vulnerability is often at its highest. Their role goes far beyond check-ins; they help people build skills, confidence, and a renewed sense of possibility. Whether it’s learning to manage symptoms , navigating daily life, building healthy relationships, or setting personal goals, each step is grounded in compassion and shared experience.
Strengthening Skills for Independence
The Peer Support Services program focuses on six core areas that help individuals advocate for themselves and care for their mental well-being: emotional support, coping strategies, goal setting, self-advocacy, social connection, and access to community resources. This approach is designed to strengthen the whole person, giving them practical tools and genuine encouragement to move toward independence.
Real People, Real Transformation
The P.H.R.I.E.N.D. impact – real people experiencing real transformation. Many individuals rediscover strengths they didn’t know they had. Some build new routines and stability. Others, like one former member who progressed so far that he became a Certified Peer Specialist himself, find a renewed purpose in helping others.
The P.H.R.I.E.N.D. program doesn’t just provide support. It provides shared humanity, empowerment, and a pathway toward a confident, self-directed future.
