Even with the vast array of information available, sometimes you may still feel overwhelmed. It can seem like there are no clear answers for your child’s struggles. Where do you turn? At Child Guidance, we help you find the best course to address your child’s challenges. The Extended Assessment Service (EAS) program offers tools to determine various diagnoses and appropriate treatment options.

We assess and treat:

  • Autism Spectrum Diagnoses
  • Asperger’s Syndrome
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
  • Adjustment Disorder
  • Depression
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Conduct Disorder
  • Other behavioral issues

What are Extended Assessment Services (EAS)?

Choosing the right solution for your child’s challenges depends on a structured, thorough approach to assessing your child’s specific needs. At Child Guidance, we take the complication and confusion out of assessment and help each child receive the most appropriate care. We have refined the assessment process for over 55 years to ensure every child gets the right therapy quickly.

The EAS process takes a close look at your child in all of his/her surroundings –home, school, and community– to closely gain an extended assess svsunderstanding of your child’s needs and develop a treatment plan. We identify the most appropriate services for addressing your child’s struggles, whether they are emotional, behavioral, or developmental.

Parents, teachers, social workers, guardians, guidance counselors, and mental health workers can make a referral to EAS, provided the child’s insurance information is available during the first call and one caregiver is willing to participate in the up-to 60-day process. Through the simple process shown below, we can ensure your child receives the most appropriate care.
