Who We Are
Caring for this community since 1956.
Child Guidance Resource Centers has been a cornerstone of behavioral and mental health in the greater Philadelphia region since the 1950s. What started as a single resource for families in need has grown into one of the region's most comprehensive mental and behavioral health organizations — serving children, families, and adults across Philadelphia, Delaware, Montgomery, and Chester counties.
Our Mission
Child Guidance Resource Centers' mission is to inspire hope, to empower and to contribute to the well-being of children, families, and vulnerable adults throughout the Southeastern Pennsylvania region by delivering evidence-informed mental and behavioral health services and community-wide wellness programs.
Our History
Mental health challenges don't wait for a convenient moment.
They show up in the middle of the night, in a school hallway, at the dinner table. For nearly 70 years, CGRC has shown up too.
Our 200+ clinicians and support staff deliver evidence-based care across 15+ programs — from outpatient therapy and school-based counseling to family support, autism support services, and residential treatment. We've served more than 38,000 families and supported more than 32,000 children.
We're Joint Commission accredited — one of the first behavioral and mental health organizations in the region to seek that distinction voluntarily — because quality and accountability aren't just values to us, they're non-negotiable.
We believe that seeking help is a sign of strength. That's why we also champion the No Stigma Initiative, working to eliminate the shame and silence that keep too many people from getting the care they deserve.
